A gentleman who has spent time in prison referred from the jobcentre attended our masterclasses with an idea to set up his own coffee business selling a family made coffee from Colombia. He attended all 6 sessions of our masterclasses and after this agreed to follow on support. This led to us investing in his business by providing finance for him to ship his first products into the country to provide samples to restaurants and others who will be interested in buying this product. He also received support with writing his business plan and was given support with writing a funding application which was submitted to receive start up funds. He has now registered his business. We were able to get a website designed for him and used our contacts to organise a meeting with him and a manager of a high end restaurant and hotel to pitch his coffee brand to be supplied there.
